Jozua Kimmich (29, Bayern Munich) is pondering his future at Bayern Munich.

"Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberle has spoken to Joachim Kimmich about his contract situation," Germany's Sport1 reported on Tuesday (June 30).

Kimmich's contract with Munich ends in 2025. The club and Kimmich will discuss an extension, but no deal has been finalized.

German Sky Sports journalist Florian Platenberg tweeted on April 19: "The unthinkable could become a reality. Jozua Kimmich's transfer is possible," and that "this summer's transfer window is Munich's last chance to cash in on Kimmich."

At the time, Sky Sports reported that "Munich are ready to sell Kimmich if the right offer comes in. Kimmich has a strong relationship with his hometown and club Munich, but he is no longer ruling out a move."

On the 30th, after a steady stream of reports about Kimmich's departure, Sport1 said: "Kimmich's future is still in doubt. There is nothing new in the negotiations with Kimmich. Kimmich is very curious to know who the new coach will be."

"He asked me directly: 'I want to know who the new coach is,'" Eberle said of his conversation with Kimmich, according to the report.

Munich will stay with current coach Thomas Tuchel until the end of the season. The club decided to change coaches due to poor results. With Tuchel's arrival, the biggest change in the team was Kimmich. Kimmich, 바카라사이트 who usually plays in the midfield, has been playing at right fullback in recent games instead of in the midfield. Kimmich, who has played as a fullback in the past, has always expressed his desire to play in the midfield.

"In the center of Munich, Pavlovic and Goretzka are playing well," Platenberg said. Then Kimmich naturally moved to fullback. Kimmich doesn't like this role," indicating that Kimmich doesn't like the role he's been given.

"Even if Munich find a new coach, there is no guarantee that Kimmich will sign an extension," Sport1 reported, "Eberle said: 'We will make a long-term decision, whether Kimmich wants us or we want him. But the most important thing is the coach."

Kimmich's change of position is not unique. Kim was pushed out of Munich's first team squad. Despite being one of the best defenders in the world, Munich coach Thomas Tuchel prefers the combination of Eric Dier and Matthias der Licht.

Tuchel recently explained his reasons for starting Dier-Der Licht: "I see little reason to change it. If you look at the form of Dayo Upamecato and Kim Min-Jae, you might feel the need to change them. They've been playing very well, so they have a good chance to play again," he said himself.

"The Munich club is very happy with Kim's commitment," said Fabrizio Romano, a journalist familiar with the European transfer market, emphasizing that the more important issue than Kim's transfer is who will be the next coach.
